For Our Camp

Do you provide towels & toiletries?
We provide towels, natural no-chemical base shampoo, and body wash. We recommend that you bring any other necessary toiletries or buy them at the local mini-market.

Do you provide bedding?
Of course! We provide all bedding including sheets, pillows, blankets, and sleeping bags. We’ve got you covered! We also have queen-size double mattresses made of organic cotton.

What is the bathroom like? Would we need to share it with other people?
The dry organic composting toilet is in a small separate building. Also, a separate building features an outside hot shower, sink, and mirror, and a kitchen including a fridge and a gas stove. These are available only to you and your group. The whole area is private to you.

What are our food options? Are meals included?
Breakfast can be provided at an extra rate. Your breakfast is delivered each day to your tent any time you ask for it (09.00-11.00). Moreover, our resort offers lunch, as well as a delicious dinner menu, featuring unique Mediterranean recipes, local ingredients & delicacies, and organic produce from our garden. These meals are not included in your nightly rate.

We are less than a 10-minute walk to Aliki, where there are restaurants & grocery stores. We have gas grills available to use free of charge and they are first come first served. We provide basic cooking utensils. You will need to bring coolers, ice, plates, cups, and eating utensils.

*Other than meals offered on our daily menu, we do not have any food at the camps for purchase.

*Please note you are NOT allowed to have ANY food inside your tents, beverages ONLY. We ask you to keep all food in the kitchen area. Food attracts small animals and insects in your tent. For your safety, food consumption is allowed in communal grill areas of the camp only.

How far away is the sea?
Billion Stars Thymonia Valley is just a short hike downhill to Thymonia Beach, one reserved, still not widely known, beautiful beaches of the island. Giola, the famous landmark, is just a short drive (15 minutes) away. The area features other beautiful, less-known beaches, that we will be more than happy to share,

What is the closest airport?
Kavala International Airport, KVA (1 hour 30 minutes away) or Thessaloniki Airport, SKG (4 hours 30 minutes away)

Do you provide shuttles from the airport?
We do not provide shuttles at any of our locations. We advise our guests to use public transport or taxis on land, and then rent a car on the island. Otherwise, it would be even better if you could come in your car using the ferry. This will allow guests to get to the camp and explore the area.

What time is check-in & out?
Check-in is between 3 pm – 10 pm. Although, our staff is there 24 hours a day. If you think you will be arriving after 10 pm just let us know so we can make a note on your reservation. Check-out is by 10 am.

Is there electricity in the tents?
Yes. There are two outlets inside the safari tent and more outlets in the common dining area.

Is the camp lit at night?
You can control the amount of light you want! That’s glamping! The Milky Way galaxy is stunning at our camp.

Are maps available for the camp?
These are under creation. For the moment you can use Google Maps, and our staff can assist you with further questions.

Can I lock the tent?
The tents do not have locks. However, they do zip up so you can close them when you leave. We do suggest keeping all valuables such as cash, jewelry, cameras, passports…etc with you or in a locked vehicle.

How safe is the camp?
Greece is a safe country. Moreover, our staff is on-site 24 hours a day. We are here to help make your glamping experience comfortable & safe. The staff makes the rounds at the camp and helps reinforce quiet hours after 10 pm.

Are you pet-friendly?
Yes, all dogs are welcome! We have a €10 fee per pet, per night. We ask they are kept on a leash and the owner cleans up after them on the campground. Pets are not to be left unattended in your tent at any time.

What is your cancellation policy?
As we are a small hotel, late cancellations and no-shows affect our business, our deposit and cancellation policy is as follows:

We require a deposit equal to 50% of the reserved stay, that will be charged to your credit card upon booking.
If you would prefer, you can make a deposit or bank transfer for the equivalent amount and send us a copy of the deposit voucher or transfer receipt within 5 days of making the reservation.
We will automatically cancel any reservation for which we do not receive either a valid credit card or notification of payment within 5 days.

More than 30 days’ notice – full refund less 30 administration fee.
14 days or less notice – loss of deposit.

Are there fire pits outside each tent?
To provide a safe camping experience, we have communal fire pits that you can use outside of the fire-restriction period.

Is there wifi?
At Billion Stars we believe connecting with those around us and exploring the great outdoors is invaluable. For this reason, we do not have any wifi at our camps.

Will my cell phone work at camp?
The quality of coverage can vary. We suggest checking with your cell phone service provider.

What should I pack?
Be sure to check the weather before arriving. Outside of the summer heat period (June-July-August) the weather and temperature can vary. Pack accordingly for all weather conditions. You may want to bring quality hiking shoes, backpacks, and a few sweats for the evening, and at the very start or end of the season (April-May & October-November) you might want to bring proper winter clothing.

Can we park in front of our tent?
There is a parking space just outside the camp. The tents are accessible by a footpath. For those who have a hard time getting around, just let us know and we can assist you.

Do the tents have air conditioning?
Our tents do not have air conditioning. Air conditioning uses a lot of power to operate, is noisy, and unhealthy. Our tents are carefully designed for shade and thermal comfort. They are placed on the slope in such a way, that cool sea air breezes throughout the day. Gaps on the deck underneath, allow more breeze inside.

Do you have a pool or hot tub at the camp?
Our resort does not have yet a hot tub or a pool. However, we are more than eager to equip our deluxe tents as soon as possible. You can always cool down and swim in the sea!

Should we book activities at the camp or in advance? If so, how far in advance?
All activities are subject to the availability of our tour company, so we absolutely recommend booking them 1 – 4 weeks in advance at least! Especially if you’re traveling in the summer during peak season. There are numerous activities and attractions for young and old to enjoy near each one of our locations. For questions or to book, please contact us in time.

Is there a minimum stay?
There are instances where we have a minimum night stay. Most guests book multiple nights in order to enjoy our dreamy beds, stunning views, and our staff’s efforts to make you feel at home!

Are kids allowed? Do you have any cribs for a baby?
Absolutely! All our camps were designed with families in mind. There’s plenty of room to run and be free. We do have a kid’s tent and sleeping bags for sleeping. Just let us know what you need and we can have it ready for you!

Do you have quiet hours?
Yes, our staff is there to encourage quiet time after 10 pm and ask all guests to be respectful of others.

What is the weather like?
Be sure to check the weather before arriving and pack accordingly for all weather conditions. During the summer, the weather is usually hot and dry. In Autumn, after the middle of September and till December, and in Spring and early Summer, the weather can be unpredictable. During those seasons, we recommend that you come prepared for colder evenings – packing some long-sleeved pants and hoodies will do.

For Our Events

Why are your rates a price range instead of a set price?
All of our prices are custom-based on the event location, number of units rented, number of rental types, and time of year. Just email or call us and we’ll put a custom quote together for you.

Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. In order to secure your booking, we require a 50% non-refundable event deposit. The full balance of your order must be paid 30 days before your event.

What do you need to know to create a custom quote?
Please give us as much information as you have regarding event type and vision, event date, event location, and the number of guests. You can fill this out via our event inquiry form on our CONTACT page.
